Sungrow Releases Cybersecurity Practices for Renewable Energy in Europe

As renewable energy infrastructure grows more digitalized and decentralized, residential distributed energy systems are becoming smarter and more interconnected. This transformation brings end-users a better experience — making energy use more efficient, easier to manage, and tailored to their needs. At the same time, digital technologies optimize product performance and simplify maintenance, allowing quick issue-solving. However, as everything becomes more connected, cybersecurity has become essential to safeguard the power system's safety, stability, and reliability.

As the global leading PV inverter and energy storage system provider, Sungrow recently released its Cybersecurity Practices for Renewable Energy in Europe, outlining how cybersecurity is integrated into its corporate governance. This practice covers areas such as data protection, supply chain assurance, and incident response, while detailing Sungrow’s end-to-end cybersecurity architecture, entire “device-network-platform” chain, proactive initiatives, and calls for unified global standards.

Looking ahead, Sungrow will continue to strengthen its systematic security capabilities in alignment with international security standards. The company remains committed to investing in product security design, data protection, platform architecture, and supply chain assurance, while actively fostering industry collaboration to build a trustworthy and sustainable energy security ecosystem.

The full practice is now available for download on Sungrow’s website: Download Here.
