This site housed PV installation built in 2008, using 40 kW old topology central inverters, capped to 32 kW. Recently the PV production was decreasing, suffering the system components aging and the unavailability of spare parts for the inverters, combined with the lack of support from the inverter manufacturer.
The old central inverters were replaced one-to-one with Sungrow’s SG33CX string inverters. After the revamping operation, the PV site restored its energy output and increasing the plant’s day to day operation efficiency, making the site function as good as new.
Until now, the owner revamped with Sungrow inverters two sections of the PV plant; the completion will be done in 2022 with the revamping of the last section.
